Important
Vendor Responsibility: Zambia Express is a marketplace platform, and vendors remain responsible for the products they choose to list, including legality, safety, descriptions, pricing, and any required licences or approvals. Zambia Express may review, restrict, remove, or refuse listings at any time where we identify policy, safety, compliance, or reputation concerns. If you are unsure whether an item is suitable for the platform, do not list it until you have clarified the position. This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and applied in line with the laws of the Republic of Zambia.

Strictly Prohibited Items
These categories may never be listed on Zambia Express under any circumstances.
- Illegal narcotics and recreational drugs
- Drug precursor chemicals intended for illegal use
- Items primarily intended for illegal drug use
- Controlled medications sold without authorisation
- Content promoting illegal drug use
- Sexually explicit videos, images, and magazines
- Obscene or indecent materials
- Adult items that violate local law
- Used underwear or intimate apparel
- Content promoting sexual exploitation
- Counterfeit currency
- Fake branded products
- Pirated media or software
- Trademark infringements
- Fake designer goods sold as authentic
- Elephant ivory
- Rhino horns
- Tortoise or turtle shells
- Warthog tusks
- CITES-protected species or parts
- Game meat
- Endangered animals or animal parts
- Guns, pistols, rifles, and ammunition
- Explosives, bombs, and grenades
- Replica or imitation firearms
- Stun guns and tasers
- Blades marketed as weapons
- Military or tactical combat equipment
Note: Some lawful hunting or outdoor equipment may be reviewed separately, but firearms and ammunition are not permitted on the platform.
- Explosives and pyrotechnics without authorisation
- Flammable liquids and gases in unsafe or bulk quantities
- Toxic or poisonous chemicals
- Radioactive materials
- Bulk aerosols
- Asbestos or dangerous lead products
- Zambian cultural artifacts
- Historical treasures and antiquities
- Archaeological finds and fossils
- National, sacred, or tribal heritage items
- Fake IDs, passports, or driver’s licenses
- Official forms intended for fraud
- Document-forging equipment
- Fake educational certificates
- Forged permits or tax documents
- Goods produced by prison labor where prohibited by law
- Products made through forced labor or slavery
- Items produced in violation of human rights
- Hate speech targeting protected groups
- Extremist symbols used to promote hate
- Content glorifying terrorism or violent extremism
- Offensive content that violates Zambian law

Restricted Items
These categories may require additional review, supporting documents, or category approval before they can be listed or remain live on the platform.
May require: Age-restriction controls, lawful approvals, supporting information, or category approval by Zambia Express. Availability on the platform is not guaranteed.
May require: Evidence of lawful authority to sell, product information, or documentation reasonably requested by Zambia Express. Prescription-only products may be refused.
May require: Health certificates, import or phytosanitary documents, or additional product information where relevant.
May require: Safety documentation, lawful labelling details, supporting product information, or category review depending on the item and how it is presented.
May require: Extra review and supporting documents depending on the product type and how it is presented on the platform.
May require: Safety or technical information where Zambia Express reasonably requests it for platform review.
Additional Review: Depending on the category and level of risk involved, Zambia Express may request reasonable supporting information or documents before or after a listing goes live. We may reject, pause, or remove restricted listings if the information provided is missing, unclear, or does not satisfy platform requirements.

Quality & Safety Standards
All listings must meet these baseline quality, safety, and accuracy requirements.
Product Quality Requirements

+No Expired Products: Food, medicine, cosmetics, and time-sensitive goods must show clear expiry dates where applicable and remain within valid usage periods.

+Proper Labeling: Products must display manufacturer or source information, batch or model details where applicable, and any required safety warnings or instructions.

+No Recalled Products: Items recalled by manufacturers, regulators, or Zambian authorities may not be sold.

+Safety Standards: Products must meet applicable Zambian safety and quality standards, including ZABS requirements where relevant.

+Accurate Descriptions: Listings must accurately represent condition, authenticity, specifications, quantity, and included accessories.

+Delivery-Related Product Data: Where relevant to fulfilment or charges, vendors must provide accurate shipping class, classification, size, weight, dimensions, handling restrictions, or other delivery-related product data requested by the platform.

xNo Misleading Listings: Vendors may not misclassify products or use misleading titles, descriptions, images, or keywords to bypass restrictions or mislead customers.

xNo Duplicate or Spam Listings: Multiple listings of the same product intended to manipulate visibility or marketplace performance are not allowed.
Used & Refurbished Products

+Clearly state Used or Refurbished in the product title where applicable.

+Describe condition accurately and disclose any material defects, repairs, missing parts, or functional limitations.

+Provide clear photos showing the actual product condition unless the item is manufacturer-certified refurbished with approved stock images.

xProhibited Used Goods: Used cosmetics, used underwear, and used medical devices intended for personal or clinical use may not be listed.

Enforcement & Consequences
Zambia Express takes policy violations seriously and may act immediately to protect customers and the marketplace.
Zambia Express may remove or edit listings, request supporting documents, restrict access to categories, suspend vendor accounts, delay payouts linked to disputes or suspected breaches where permitted, and report serious matters to the relevant authorities where necessary.
Important: This policy cannot list every possible item. Zambia Express may decide whether a product is suitable for the platform in unclear or borderline cases, even if the item is not specifically named here.
